Product Overview

Our organically grown Cardamom essential oil is a treat for the senses. The extremely tenacious aroma is spicy-sweet, rich, warm, highly aromatic and slightly cineolic, becoming balsamic-woody and increasingly sweet in the drydown. Its pure and complex aroma makes this organic Cardamom essential oil one that we highly recommend!

A member of the Ginger family, Cardamom is one of the oldest essential oils known in perfumery. Presently, it is used extensively in cosmetics and perfumery to add a warm, fresh, and invigorating quality. According to Ayurveda, Cardamom enlivens the heart and refreshes the senses.[1] With a lively array of oxides and ester molecules, it is well suited for massage blends, chest rubs, and in diffusers.

Invigorating & Diffusive

Rating

On application, this oil is very fresh and penetrating. It's unmistakably cardamom, but it has a cineolic edge and I couldn't shake the association with eucalyptus. Those edges soften after 5-10 minutes, and the drydown is closer to what you'd smell in the spice drawer. I could see this being a useful quality in blends (and also in aromatherapy applications), but for those looking for a warmer and richer cardamom scent, I'd recommend the CO2 extraction.

Bold and Tenacious

Rating

This cardamom makes a statement. It's bold and tenacious, leaving a trail wherever it goes. The aroma is strong, sweet, spicy, and interestingly fruity and floral. I love working with this cardamom essential oil.

I got the CO2 as well as the oil and they are extremely different . The oil is lower, not as diffuse. Sweet and spicy, touch of citrus, very very pleasing

This organic cardamom is the best out of 3 other cardamom EOs I own. It brings cardamom to a new level of enjoyment for me. It's simply divine.

Animalic Aromas – Notes of Warmth, Leather, and Musk

Have you ever wondered what perfumers mean when they describe a scent as ‘animalic’? In perfumery, the Animalic aroma family refers to essences that evoke the warmth and intimacy of living beings – notes that are musky, leathery, sensual, and sometimes just a touch ‘dirty.’

Getting to Know Geranium – A Rosy, Green Floral

Few essential oils strike the balance between beauty, versatility, and utility quite like Geranium. Bold, green, rosy-floral, and endlessly adaptable, it’s both a formulator’s ally and a perfumer’s force of nature. Native to South Africa, flowering Geranium was brought to Europe in the 17th century and is now cultivated globally for its remarkably rose-like aroma and wide-ranging benefits.
