Tropical Aromas: Paradise is a Few Drops Away…
Written By: Robin Lander
Imagine a serene beach at sunset, the gentle rustle of palm leaves, warm waves lapping the shore, and cool fruity drinks tantalizing your tongue. Tropical aromas can take us there in an instant – a burst of the warm and exotic, transporting our senses to a faraway paradise. Sweet, sultry, floral and fresh, nature has ensured that these boldly enticing aromas capture our attention and intoxicate our spirit.
Typically derived from plants native to humid and lush climates, tropical essences carry the vibrant scents of voluptuous flowers, ripe fruits, breezy trees, and invigorating spices. If you’re looking to evoke sunny days and blissful island vibes into your aromatic creations, let’s dive into a few captivating tropical aromas and how to use them.
Coconut Pulp CO2 – Organic
Rich, warm, creamy, buttery aroma of coconut. A natural, non-synthetic aroma of Coconut is rare, and our Coconut CO2 captures it beautifully. Suitable for both cosmetics and oil-based perfumes, it’s wonderful for modifying or lifting exotic florals and citrus such as Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, and Lime.Hawaiian Sandalwood
Extremely rich, woody, sweet, and full-bodied with remarkable tenacity. Sustainably cultivated on an organic farm in Hawaii, our most luxurious, tenacious Sandalwood is the ideal lingering base note in your tropical formulations, especially with florals and citrus like Champaca and Bergamot.Vanilla CO2 - Organic
Very rich, warm, sweet, somewhat woody/animalic-like aroma, with soft notes of spice and tobacco and a deep, sweet, balsamic body note. Vanilla sweetens and smooths a composition with familiar warmth and sensuality, blending well with almost anything, especially Orange and Sandalwood.Ylang Ylang Complete - Organic
Powerful, extremely sweet, warm, tropical fruity/floral with a light green, woody undertone. This unfractionated, ‘complete’ oil contains the full spectrum of beneficial aromatic constituents. Perfumers, aromatherapists, and high-end soap makers may prefer the boldness of this Ylang Ylang, particularly to extend fine florals like Tuberose and Neroli.Gardenia Extract
Unusual and complex white floral with a very rich, sweet-fruity body, slightly earthy undertones, and light, fresh green top notes. Authentic Gardenia is incredibly rare and ours is made with a modernized enfleurage technique, yielding a true-to-nature Gardenia aroma that blends well with white florals and spices like Jasmine, Tuberose, and Black Pepper.Galangal CO2
Fresh, diffusive, sweet-woody, warm, and somewhat spicy aroma with ginger and melon-like top notes that fade to a unique cool, creamy, faintly spicy, floral-woody drydown of depth and great tenacity. From a small tropical plant closely related to Ginger, Galangal brings an intriguing tropical sweetness and blends well with Sandalwood and Ginger.Lime, Distilled – Organic
Soft, zesty, slightly fruity lime aroma, more tart than sweet. It brings a lifting and invigorating twist to the top note of compositions, helping to balance sweetness. Lime blends well with Vanilla and Sandalwood, other citruses, florals like Ylang Ylang, and spices like Ginger.Orange, Blood - Organic
Sweet, fresh, vibrant, fruity aroma characteristic of Orange with a light tartness and soft berry undertone. Richer and sweeter in aroma than our Sweet Orange, our Blood Orange lends a lovely mouthwatering, fresh-fruity top note to perfumery creations. It blends well with Patchouli and most woods, florals and spices like Gardenia and Galangal. How to Use Tropical Aromas
