Product Overview

Our organic Palmarosa has a smooth, fresh, sweet-grassy, mild rosy-geraniol aroma with delicate citrus zest top notes. Cymbopogon martinii comes from the same botanical family as Lemongrass and Citronella and is native to India and Pakistan; it now grows in Africa, Indonesia, Brazil, and the Comoro Islands.[1]

This is the grass that aspires to be a Rose – and at a fraction of the cost! With its rich distribution of Rose alcohols, Rose esters and Rose aldehydes, Palmarosa is truly underappreciated for both its complex aroma and the generally beneficial properties inherent in this arrangement of molecules. It is useful in skincare, particularly for dry or imbalanced skin, and for this reason is exceptionally beautiful in facial serums and soaps.

Sunshine and roses...

Rating

I got a sample of this because I'd never tried any palmarosa before and I have to say, I think I'm hooked! This has such lovely, rose-y, lemongrass-y scent to it. It's fresh and floral, sweet and light. I haven't tried blending it with anything yet, but I'd like to use it to make a spring garden sort of scent, maybe with some lavender, violet leaf, and vetiver.

Muted, deep, and perfect

Rating

As someone who cannot afford true rose oils, I am delighted with this palmarosa. It offers a muted, deep rose-like floral with just enough sweetness balanced by a dry, almost woody presence. It is not a lemony or particularly 'fresh' scented palmarosa. Absolutely perfect for my nose, as I avoid overly sweet florals and wanted a rose I could blend with more straightforward citrus scents. Adds a floral intrigue to woody scents, as well.

Incredible Palmarosa

Rating

Besides being Organic or Wild Grown, the smell and how my body responds to each oil is very crucial. I love this oil. When inflammation in my body starts increasing, this is one of the oils I go to because it works!

Lemony heaven

Rating

This Palmarosa, a relative of lemongrass creates a feeling of security. It is used to reduce stress and tension, and promotes feelings of well being. This oil reduces nervous tension. Excellent oil for home diffusion.
