Product Overview

The power and diffusiveness of our Manuka essential oil is simply striking. Ours has a fresh, spicy, herbaceous aroma with a distinctive tangy green sweetness like that of crushed pine needles. To achieve this, a long, slow distillation is performed to ensure the presence of heavier sesquiterpene molecules with a full profile of aromatic constituents.

There are three phenotypes of Manuka originating in New Zealand and only one of these is rich in the highly sought-after triketones. In fact, Manuka essential oil’s claim to fame lies in its high triketone content which is specific to the East Cape of New Zealand where the tree’s ability to cope with harsh environmental conditions is legendary. Traditional Maori uses for Manuka include baths, steams, topical washes and incense, and today the oil of Manuka is gaining popularity in cosmetic and skincare preparations. While the ubiquitous and heavily marketed Tea Tree cornered much of the essential oil market for several decades, lesser-known Australian tree oils such as Manuka remained in the wings. We invite you to discover the other ‘wonders from down under’!

Enjoy a Summer of Citrus

There’s something about hot summer days and the tangy aroma of citrus that go together. Sweet orange, lemon, lime… perhaps it’s the way citrus aromas refresh the senses, offer an ambiance of calm, and lend a cooling feel.
