Product Overview

This exceptional wild grown Frankincense is gathered and distilled in the Sultanate of Oman, an historic region known for producing premium quality Frankincense that many believe to be the best in the world. The aroma is fresh, warm, resinous, and coniferous, with peppery undertones and a top note of orange citrus. It has a fresher, brighter Frankincense aroma than our Frankincense CO2 extracts. Boswellia sacra and other species of Frankincense are noted for the ability to refresh the environment, “clearing the air” both aromatically and energetically, while elevating mind, body and spirit.

Frankincense, along with other prized aromatics, spices, precious stones, rare woods, feathers, animal skins and gold, was transported by caravans on the Incense Route and enjoyed a flourishing trade from Yemen and Oman in the Arabian Peninsula to the Mediterranean for nearly 500 years.[1] Egyptians used Frankincense extensively, and the pharaohs believed that burning it allowed them to commune with the gods. Its Arabic name, Olibanum, is derived from al Luban, which means milk, a reference to the milky sap that exudes from the wound in a tree after an incision is made in the bark. The sap serves a purpose for the tree as it seals the incision from the elements; this exudate forms resinified 'tears' from which Frankincense oils are extracted.[2]

Once a rare and precious commodity used for millennia by many religious, shamanistic and secular cultures, Frankincense oil, like Myrrh, offers many different beneficial possibilities. It is especially valued for use in skincare preparations (with Patchouli or Neroli), in diffusers (with Lemon or Pine), for massage (with Palmarosa or Lavender),[3]  and in meditation blends (with Sandalwood or Orange). Frankincense is legendary in its traditional and sacred uses and its ability to calm and elevate the spirit. [4, 5]

Each Frankincense oil that we offer is of exceptional quality, possessing unique features and characteristics distinct from one another.  From a traditional view, one might choose one of our hydrodistilled Frankincense essential oils, particularly for aromatherapy purposes. For the natural botanical perfumer, our Frankincense CO2 oils offer a more complete aromatic profile with higher, brighter top notes and deeper, more complex bottom notes than distilled Frankincense oils. However, this premium Omani hydrodistillation is quite special, lending its divinely refreshing brightness to both skincare and perfumery creations.

Best Boswellia Sacra EVER

Rating

I just received this oil today & when I first opened it I was shocked at how this scent was exactly like the Organic Royal Hojari Green Frankincense I got. I bought this oil from another company with oils as good as this company. Unfortunately, they shut down after Covid-19 but the sacra I got from them was deeper and not as good as this one which is why I was shocked. The 1st time ever I saw this oil has outclassed other so-called superior companies.

Frankincense sacra, Oman.

Rating

Fantastic quality and smell. It smells lighter than most others I have smelled. Maybe a tinge of citrus? Anyway,. It smells great, and I love it in my skincare regimen, I mainly use it on my face blended with pomegranate carrier oil or apricot kernel seed carrier oil. Thanks, for the great Frankincense!!

sacra oil oman greatest.

Rating

I did buy this sacred oil from eden and I know I got the genuine pure Omani oil of hojari mountains of Salalah region known as the best frankincense oil in the world. It has lots of healing powers since eden sells the genuine hojari oil from Oman. The molecular structure of this oil is so tiny it absorbs into skin immediately unlike other frankincense oils.Look for word SACRA from OMAN, and you are lucky to get one if EDEN has in stock. Service at eden is beyond belief, they are a team of greats. I will not buy sacra oil from Young living,or Rocky mountain.or Do Terra they charge this same oil 3 times more and loot your hard earn money.

Astounded!

Rating

I must first admit that I was not expecting to smell an appreciable difference in this frankincense. I believe I have an essential oil from every "species"/variant of frankincense I could find, including a few Eden does not offer. They all have their nuances, of course, and to me they can be rather subtle. However, this frankincense is as described and has that wonderful orange citrus note found in no other. It's an absolute must for any frankincense lover.
