Product Overview

The aroma of our classic Roman Chamomile essential oil is powerfully diffusive, fresh, sweet-warm fruity/herbal with green apple peel and pear-like notes and possessing a beautifully balanced drydown. The main components of Roman Chamomile essential oil are the esters of angelic and tiglic acids (including the angelates and metacrylates) comprising up to 80% of the total oil.[1] Perfumers in particular find great value in these two esters for creating warm, sweet and fruity tea-like notes in their creations.

Our Roman Chamomile is distilled from plants grown in the Willamette Valley of Oregon in the United States' Pacific Northwest. We visited this second-generation, family operated distillery where, on a hot August afternoon in the cool of the still house, the warm wafts of sweet hay from the neighboring meadows and the determined buzz of honeybees mingled with this apple-y gem of freshly distilled Roman Chamomile.

In some spiritual traditions, the aroma of Roman Chamomile is said to evoke peace, love, tranquility and purity of spirit. Different authors have claimed it benefits the grumpy, impatient, rarely satisfied and disagreeable. Children are typically attracted to the fruity and comforting aroma, succumbing easily to the laid back, carefree vibe Roman Chamomile embodies. Roman Chamomile oil seems universally beloved - its equilibrium and brightness are sought after by earthlings of all ages.

Please note that Roman Chamomile essential oil has a strong odor intensity and should be used sparingly.

Rating

I have ordered a few oils from Eden Botanicals, this Roman Chamomile is just beautiful!! I live in the Willamette Valley were this is grown, and distilled. I really appreciate that this oil is so close to home:) Thank you, for all your wonderful, and precious oils. I will only order from this company. The prices are not outrageous either.

if only I could buy gallons!

I previously left a review for this oil when I first received it and I liked it a lot then. Since leaving the review, roman chamomile has quickly became one of top 3 favorites and a hard to live without oil! Blends wonderfully with many things and is deliciously spicy/grassy/sweet on its own. Love it!
