Product Overview

Our Sea Buckthorn CO2 total extract is an exceptionally gentle, carrot-colored oil with an aroma that is pleasantly subtle. Extracted from the fruit pulp, it is a rich source of nutrients for the skin, containing essential fatty acids, antioxidant vitamins A and E, as well as beta-carotene, giving it a deep red-orange color. Adding just a few drops of this oil per ounce gives a fantastic color to your formulas. Palmitoleic acid (an Omega-7), a component that is also naturally found in the skin, lends nourishing and moisturizing properties.

The presence of carotenoids, linoleic and α-linoleic acids (Omegas -3 and -6) in this product may nourish sun-exposed skin, while the emollient properties provide welcome hydration. Sea Buckthorn CO2 may also be used to benefit the scalp.

Our Sea Buckthorn CO2 contains a small percentage of Rosemary Antioxidant CO2 – Organic  to help maintain freshness.

Gorgeous rich wonderful oil

Rating

I love this stuff, wonderful for the skin and has a lovely fruity floral aroma. Such a treat! In the UK sea buckthorn Berry was apparently one of the only sources of vitimin C through the winter months and a drink was made with the soft berries that turn to juice as soon as they're picked/stripped from the spikey thorns. I even tincture this in alcohol then freeze filter it as it adds a lovely fragrance to my perfumes with a few charges, and I just love that I can put it in there. The colour may be an issue for some but it's so gorgeous I don't care.

Wonderful use before and after sun-exposure

Rating

I decided to create a combination of Sea Buckthorn Co2, Rosehip Seed Oil and the Essential Oil of Helichrysum to take to Hawaii. It was an experiment to see how it would work with the sun exposure. I applied it before and after being outside in the sun. ( Yes, I wore a hat and sat in the shade a lot as well, but I still came home with a wonderful, soft tan). This oil combination did the trick. I even got complimented at the gym the other day, regarding my beautiful skin and the nice tan I had. I use this oil every day now, since it seems to heal and soothe my skin, period. Thank you for a great product!

Fantastic

This oil is of very good quality! Will definitely be purchasing more to mix with my rosehip oil. Also going to try the raspberry oil too.

Great quality

Rating

this is the best sea buckthorn berry CO2 I've found, and for such a great price! I love the color it adds to the product, plus the results after use. Definitely use in a small amount as others have said. Not much is needed to get great effects, plus it does stain and is kind of heavy on the skin otherwise. It's got a pleasant fruity scent as well.

I love this oil. It's a dry oil. Mixes well with other carrier oils. Gives my skin a nice glow. Smells delightful.
