Product Overview

Our organic Pomegranate Seed CO2 Total Extract is an elegant fatty (carrier) oil with an extremely high punicic acid content. This constituent is nearly unique to pomegranates, is a highly nourishing, supersaturated omega-5 fatty acid for the skin, and gives a thick, rich and luxurious feel to the oil.[1] It is filtered and unrefined.

In topical preparations, it supports the elasticity of the skin and may improve the appearance of aging and sun-exposure. In addition, our Pomegranate Seed CO2 also contains CLnA (conjugated alpha-linolenic acid) isomers, linoleic acid and oleic acid.[2] With a variety of antioxidant and beneficial constituents, it is ideal in combination with other carrier oils for use in skin care products and formulations.

Please note that the low temperature CO2 extraction process (up to 104˚F/40˚C) for carrier oils ensures a product that more closely resembles that which is found in the raw plant material and has a longer shelf life than cold processed carrier oils.[4] In addition, CO2 carrier oils meet strict heavy metal requirements and contain no carbohydrates, protein, or inorganic salts.[5]

Our organic Pomegranate Seed CO2 contains a small percentage of Rosemary Antioxidant CO2 – Organic to help maintain freshness.

The BEST Pom Oil

Rating

Honestly, Eden Botanicals never disappoints - the quality of their oils are a step above the others - plus their packaging is superb - and customer service top notch. This Pomegranate Oil is a key ingredient - especially for dry and/or mature skin. It nourishes, hydrates and heals wonderfully. I feel its protective characteristics enhance overall quality and appearance of skin so I put it in all my skin care. Also, I've had other Pom oils that did not solidify in fridge (and if they are 100% pure Pom oil, they should) - this does exactly what it is supposed to do when put in fridge. Thank you Eden for your commitment to quality and high standards for us all!

Not only are they yummy to eat, love those antioxidants. This carrier will do wonders for your skin's top superficial layer since it will regenerate and benefit the cells of that layer to assist in collagen production and we ladies can't get enough of that can we?
