Strawberry Seed Oil – Organic: A Revitalizing Treat for Your Skin
Written By: Robin Lander
A silky feel with a subtle aroma of sweet-fruity freshness? Count us in! While nature offers an abundance of skin-nourishing carrier oils, get ready to fall in love with a new squeeze. Our phenomenal Strawberry Seed Oil is cold-pressed, unrefined, and one of the newest ultra-hydrating skincare ingredients for revitalizing dull, dry skin. With a lightweight texture and gentle nature, Strawberry Seed Oil is a treat to apply, releasing a delicate strawberry scent as it smooths and softens.
A Winning Combination of Skin-Loving Constituents
Rich in polyunsaturated Omega-6 linoleic and Omega-3 alpha-linolenic fatty acids, Strawberry Seed Oil is a conditioning powerhouse deserving of a prime spot in your beauty routine. These beneficial fatty acids help support the skin’s own protective barrier against moisture loss and impurities, helping to support skin elasticity and increase smoothness. Strawberry Seed’s natural tocopherols (vitamin E) and carotenoids (vitamin A) help to improve the appearance of sun-exposed skin, dark spots and dehydration, leaving skin supple and radiant.
How to Use Strawberry Seed Oil - Organic
Strawberry Seed Oil’s deeply moisturizing and emollient properties make it a dreamy stand-alone face and body oil for all skin types, including dry, mature, sensitive, oily and congested skin. Formulators enjoy adding it to facial serums and cosmetic products for after-sun care, lip and hair care, lotions and creams, body oils, and aromatherapy blends. As a key ingredient in revitalizing formulations, it helps improve skin tone and luminosity. Strawberry Seed Oil’s conditioning properties make it a popular addition in soaps, cleansers, scrubs and body polishes for velvety skin.
Let’s look at a formula that delivers Strawberry Seed Oil’s benefits right where our skin is often the most moisture-thirsty – the eye area.
How to Formulate an Under-Eye Serum with Strawberry Seed Oil
Organic Strawberry Seed Oil is the star ingredient in this brightening serum to hydrate skin with a dewy glow. These properties can be enhanced with a synergistic combination of supportive carrier oils. Cucumber and Prickly Pear Seed oils help improve the appearance of tired-looking eyes, while antioxidant-rich Cranberry and Camellia Seed Oils help support the skin’s own protective barrier against moisture loss . Cold pressed Carrot Seed and Coffee Bean Oils help revive and improve skin tone while lending an earthy and enlivening aroma of fresh roasted coffee.
DIY Strawberry Seed and Coffee Bean Oil Under-Eye Serum
Materials:
9 ml Strawberry Seed Oil – Organic
6 ml Cranberry Seed Oil - Organic
4.5 ml Camellia Seed Oil - Organic
3 ml Prickly Pear Seed Oil - Organic
2 ml Carrot Seed Oil (cold pressed carrier oil)
Optional: 3 drops Vitamin E – Tocobiol® SF and a Fine Stem Pipette
Directions:
Set the 1 oz. bottle on a paper towel to absorb any spills. Use the Measuring Stem Pipettes to add each carrier oil to the bottle. Twist on the pump top and gently shake to combine.
To add the Vitamin E – Tocobiol® SF:
Vitamin E is beneficial for the skin and slows the oxidation of your formulas. Our premium Sunflower-derived Vitamin E – Tocobiol® SF must be warmed in a water bath until it reaches an internal temperature of 140° F. Once the temperature has been reached, mix the material thoroughly and quickly and then add to your formulation using a Fine Stem Pipette.
How to Use Your Under-Eye Serum
Apply just a few drops of the serum 1-2 times a day to damp skin surrounding the eye area, being careful to avoid entry into the eyes, and pat in gently. To dampen skin, we recommend closing the eyes and misting with Cucumber Hydrosol – Organic or Rose Hydrosol – Organic.
Please Note: Coffee Bean Oil may contain a small amount of caffeine, therefore, if you are highly sensitive or allergic to coffee or caffeine, we recommend avoiding use of Coffee Bean Oil and leaving it out of this formula. We recommend performing a patch test when working with any of our ingredients topically, especially before use on facial skin.
Enjoy your beautiful, dewy-fresh complexion! Oh, and for our perfumers – you may want to try the lightly fruity aroma of Strawberry Seed Oil as part of the base of your oil-based perfumes.
