Our certified organic and unrefined Plum Kernel Oil is a lightweight, silky-smooth carrier oil pressed from the fruit kernels of Prunus domestica. It has an irresistible, mild almond/marzipan-like aroma and contains high percentages of the skin nourishing oleic and linoleic acids as well as a complement of other fatty acids. Unlike many carrier oils, Plum Kernel Oil features full-spectrum Vitamin E tocopherols (predominantly γ-tocopherol), lending significant antioxidant activity, as well as traces of a variety of very long-chain fatty acids so beneficial for skin.[1]

Only widely available in the last 5-10 years, Plum Kernel Oil is noted for its beautifully light texture that is ideal for skin care and cosmetic applications. It is well-suited for facial serums, lip, hair and scalp preparations, body oils and, due to its stability and nourishing elements, is a perfect addition to baby care products.
